Guy's Night Out!!
Tonight Adam had a guys night, I told him that this week unlike any other I had 2 days off and that we should take advantage of it. 1 night he goes and does he guy thing....whatever that may be and 1 night I have a MUCH NEEDED girls night out! So he decided to go to the Hockey game with his bud Manny, and then they went over to a friends house to play poker! I am pretty sure it will be a while till' he is home...it is almost midnight! But you know what, I think just as important as our 1 on 1 time alone together is important when we can get it, friend time and a night out with no worries is just as important!! We are both working very hard and I think we deserve it! I personally can't wait for Monday night....aka GIRLS NIGHT OUT!! I am working so much, that have no qaulity time with my girlfriends w/out our kids screaming in our ear!! I don't know what we are doing yet, keeping it mellow...probablly dinner and drinks smewhere and just good talk time! We all need good old friend time!!!!

Enabling The Addiction!!!!!
So those of you who know Kenzie pretty well, know that she has these little obsessions e.g. Stuffed animals, Duckies, her boys, and doing EVERYTHING herself. So most of it I just chalk up to her being 3 and everyone just keeps saying it's a stage thing! Well Kenzie also likes one more thing ALOT and that is PINK, no she is not even just obsessed, she is Addicted! I am not joking, pink rules our world.......her plates, her bowls, sippy cups, hair bows, nail polish, and the newest thing is her underwear! When you buy packs of underwear they come 3-5 in a pack and usually one of each color. Well I had got her some Princess undies for Christmas and only 1 pink pair out of the bunch, SHIT. Well at 1st it was not such a big deal, but as the days and weeks went on everyday it was a battle of wills, b/c she wanted to wear that pink pair EVERYDAY! I had to explain the she wore those yesterday and they were dirty, we have to pick a NEW pair every single day! So then she didn't want to take her pull up off in the morning. So being the bad person that I am, I was so tired of the battle and went to Target and slyly took every pink pair of underwear out of each package and into 1, I ended up with 7 pink and all the other packs had 2 of the same color! I seriously felt bad as I was doing it, but guess what I don't even have to ask Kenzie anymore to change into her undies in the morning, she just does it!

Adam seems to think sometimes I make life more difficult than it needs to be, If you give Kenzie the wrong plate or bowl that she doesn't want that day, it is immediate melt down Tantrum. So we decided to just tell her to pick out which one she wants each time. O.K. that's great and all, but come on sometimes I am doing a million things and she is not listening, so I just pick one and put it on the table. Yesterday, lunch time, (keep in mind that all of our plates have some sort of pink in them) I gave her a white plate w/ pink polka dots....Good right, not so much she freaked out and said she doesn't like white!!! Are you KIDDING me! I sometimes just get so frustrated I make her use, where as Adam would just switch it. See what I mean we enable her Addictions!! And to make things worse I read in my Parenting Magazine, that you should embrace you child's obsessions. It means they are very focused and observing things in life, I want my kids to be focused, but let's be real I am just too damn tired. But you gotta love them!!

I Only Kinda Love My Carrots!!

We had a good weekend, just kind of hung around the house and relaxed. Haylee still surprises me some days with how much of butt she can be. She is still definitley a different creature than Kenzie was at this age. She has this stubborn, mind of her own thing going on and she's only 6 months old!! Kenzie was so easy going and Haylee not so much. It just makes me wonder in a few years what she is going to be like, Kenzie has a personality and imagination larger than life and she has an attitude most days to go with it.....and has always been my easy one! So Haylee makes me wonder if she is already such a personality and pain in my butt, what she is gonna be at Kenzie's age? But come on they are too cute I just want to love on them every second, Kenzie tells me often "mommy get off of me and stop kissing on me" oh well I get it when I can, and when they don't want to love me, I TAKE IT ANYWAYS!! Haylee is at the point of starting food, but she doesn't seem to love it, she just kinda likes it, sometimes! Here's some pics of the weekend!

Happy Valentine's Day.....

To all the romantics out there like myself, I hope you have a great Valentine's Day with the one you love!!! We are going to put the kids to bed and just spend some good qaulity time together! We don't get much of that too much anymore....PLUS Impossible to get a sitter for tonight, and not to mention Kenzie is sick and has been throwing up for the last 24 hours! I think we might try to go out to dinner and drinks tomorrow night.
Valentine's Day is one of those days where all the guys hate b/c they are expected to buy expensive flowers and chocolates, go out to a fancy dinner and spend a SHIT-LOAD! Don't get me wrong I love flowers and a good night out just as uch as the next girl, but sometimes it just seems too forced on this day! I want flowers and a great night all the other 364 days a year also! To me the most important is just having a great night with the one you love....It's all about QAULITY!!!

Our Weekend......

We had a jam packed weekend of suff that we had going on. Saturday was a great day of qaulity time spent with my fam. We woke up and had breakfast, and watched some morning cartoons. Me and the girls decided to pull out the play-doh and Adam left to do some much neede grocery shopping! He has turned into such a great house husband!!HaHa. Adam then came home and made lunch for everyone an we actually got both girls down for a nap.....so we thought, we had about 10 full minutes of alone time and then Kenzie started coming in and out of her room. I left for Target and by the time I got back she was watching t.v. with Adam, he said he got tired of fighting with her to go back to bed!

Sunday we had a birthday party to go to, my girlfriend's daughter Avalon was turning 1. Kenzie had a great time, therewas a bounce house and yummy cake. Adam stayed home and had a day of beer drinking andplaying darts with our neighbor Mario who was also wife and kid free over the weekend!

Monday was pretty normal, Adam back to work and we just hung out around the house doing all of the fun stuff.....Laundry, dishes and spent some time just being silly.......

Monday night Kenzie had a Valentine's Day party that my good friend Jenn was throwing.....Maddies 1st Annual Cookie Party!(Maddie is her daughter) Jen always throws the best parties and always alot of fun! We ecided to leave Haylee at home with daddy so we could have some mommy and Kenzie time and mommy time also while all the kids played.

BIG GIRLS ONLY.....NO BABIES ALLOWED!!!!

I had been wanting to plan a special day for Kenzie and I for a while now, we haven't done anyting just her and I since Haylee was born. Me and my girlfriend Adrienne decided to take the girls (her daughter Kate who is also 3) and make a BIG GIRLS ONLY DAY, no babies allowed, sorry Haylee! We went to Disneyland for a day of magic. I didn't tell Kenzie where we were going, just that I had a special day planned for us, she was so excited! It was a beautiful day and not too crowded, so went on more rides than we ever had

The beginning of our adventure.....Kenzie was so happy to have mommy all to herself!!
O.k. so by thispoint of the night itwas FREEZING!! So we decided to go get some dinner and get a good spot for the Pareade, since Kenzie or myself had never seen it. My friend Adrienne said tat the 1st time she watched her daughter watch it just about made her cry to see the joy in he eyes! Well guess what McKenzie was so excited and loved it and was screaming, it just about made me cry, it was so awesome...the joy a 3 year old has for all the magical things that they make happen!!
